Across the offshore industry there has been a sustained drive to reduce reliance on the small number of high-cost specialist vessels by conducting operations from less sophisticated boats.
Acteon is applying the marine operations experience across the Group to install piles, conductors, risers, trees and other critical subsea equipment from the back of anchor-handling or similar vessels. This approach helps operators to cut project costs and remove these activities from the critical field development path.
Acteon's mooring businesses have taken a leading role in this process. Aquatic, which specialises in reeling operations, has also made a significant contribution to our back-of-the-boat initiative. |
