Claxton completes high-pressure riser project for Deep Panuke development

Claxton, an Acteon company, has recently completed an extensive drilling riser rental project for Encana Corporation’s Deep Panuke field development offshore Nova Scotia, Canada.

The 5000-psi riser system was supplied as a system-and-connector package that included large-bore, 24-in diameter riser joints, Claxton positive-grip tension rings, an H4 connector, umbilicals and a hydraulic power unit, all of which were drawn directly from Claxton’s rapid call-off rental inventory.

Claxton also provided the personnel to run the system, which was used to drill and complete one new well and to re-enter and complete four suspended wells in approximately 44 m of water from the Rowan Gorilla III jackup rig.
