Acteon takes new recruitment scheme on the road
22/06/2009
Employees from subsea services provider Acteon are taking to the tarmac to promote the company's new talent scheme, which is appropriately titled the "Pacer" programme.
Paul Alcock, vice president, and Will Jackson, strategic resourcing manager of TEAM Energy, both keen cyclists, will wear Pacer programme logos when they take part in the 2009 London-Paris Cycle Tour on 25–28 June.
The event was chosen to promote the scheme because of synergies with Acteon’s core values of commitment and teamwork.
The Pacer programme’s aims are to increase capacity to analyse the business and implement agreed solutions. As well as this, individuals are provided with the opportunity to learn wide-ranging skills across the business at a corporate level, promoting an additional management path.
“In practice, Pacer participants are assigned to challenging, business-critical projects within the group operating companies,” said Alcock.
“We have already selected talent from both inside and outside our business and industry to add to our experienced pool of professionals. This will give us a different approach to idea progression.”
The L2P, as it is known, is a three-day event over 520 km.
