Back-deck services

The ability to perform complex activities from the back deck of less-sophisticated vessels is becoming increasingly important. Driven by the need to reduce costs and improve operational flexibility, there is growing momentum behind the back-deck service industry.

The marine operational experience running across several Acteon companies, combined with the offshore engineering knowledge and skills that form another core capability of the group, has provided the basis for a range of back-deck applications. As well as foundation and mooring installation – a well-established business area for Acteon – other applications include the deployment of subsea hardware, deepwater piling, the pre-installation of well conductors, the laying and retrieval of flexible flowlines and umbilicals, and subsea well abandonment.
